Drinking Alcohol

I am not going to preach but I do want to emphasize that when drinking alcohol always use caution and be sensible. NEVER drink alcohol and drive or operate machinery.

Enough said….

Spicy Guacamole

We love Mexican food in this house although I have never been a lover of guacamole, I always found it very dry. A couple of years ago I found this recipe and I even enjoy eating just a little of the guacamole.

Ingredients

2 Medium very ripe avocados
2 Tablespoons of chopped onion
1 Tablespoon of chopped cilantro
1 Tablespoon of fresh lime juice
1/4 Teaspoon of salt
1 Clove of minced garlic
1 large tomato
2 Jalapenos
2oz Diced green chile peppers.

Method

1. Halve, seed, peel and cut up the avocados.
2. Peel and chop the tomato.
3. Blend together until smooth all of your ingredients except for the tomato.
4. Transfer to a serving bowl and stir in the tomato.
5. Chill and serve with tortilla chips.

Note From Grandma

I use cans of diced green chile peppers and they usually come in 4oz cans.

I also like to make larger batches and put them in airtight containers so that my husband and the kids can just go help themselves, whenever they feel like a snack.
